Alumina (Al2O3)

Ana iya samar da Alumina, ko Aluminum Oxide, a cikin tsarki iri-iri. Matsakaicin ma'auni da ake amfani da shi don aikace-aikacen masana'antu na zamani shine 99.5% zuwa 99.9% tare da ƙarin abubuwa da aka tsara don haɓaka halaye. Ana iya amfani da hanyoyi daban-daban na sarrafa yumbu, gami da injina ko ƙirƙirar siffa mai kyau don samar da nau'ikan girma dabam-dabam da siffofi na kayan aiki.

Tukwane na Al2O3 suna da fa'idodi masu zuwa:
1. Babban tauri (ƙarfin MOHS shine 9) da kuma juriyar lalacewa mai kyau.
2. Ƙarfin injina mai kyau. Ƙarfin lanƙwasawa yana iya kaiwa 300 ~ 500MPa.
3. Kyakkyawan juriya ga zafi. Zafin aikinsa na ci gaba da aiki zai iya kaiwa 1000℃.
4. Babban juriya da kyawawan halayen kariya daga wutar lantarki. Musamman tare da kyakkyawan kariya daga zafin jiki mai zafi (Juriyar daki-daki shine 1015Ω•cm) da juriyar karyewar wutar lantarki (ƙarfin kariya daga wutar lantarki shine 15kV/mm).
5. Ingantaccen daidaiton sinadarai. Ba ya yin aiki da sinadarin sulfuric, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid da hydrofluoric acid.
6. Juriyar tsatsa mai zafi. Zai iya jure wa lalacewar ƙarfe kamar Be, Sr, Ni, Al, V, Ta, Mn, Fe da Co.
Saboda haka, ana amfani da yumbu na alumina sosai a fannin masana'antu na zamani. Ana amfani da shi sosai a masana'antar kera semiconductor, masana'antar lantarki, masana'antar injina, yanayin zafi mai zafi, masana'antar sinadarai, masana'antar haske, yadi da sauran fannoni.

Alumina wani abu ne mai amfani da yumbu wanda ake amfani da shi sosai a cikin waɗannan aikace-aikacen:

✔ sassan gini don kayan aiki masu ƙarfi da kuma masu ƙarfi, na'urorin haska nukiliya, kayan aikin da ake amfani da su a yanayin zafi mai yawa.
✔ abubuwan da ke jure tsatsa, piston don famfo, bawuloli da tsarin allurai, ɗaukar samfurin bawuloli na jini.
✔ bututun thermocouple, masu hana wutar lantarki, kafofin niƙa, jagororin zare.
